Parents and Students,
I wanted to share some information on some upcoming events.
Friday: Basketball Band will need to meet at 6:45am to get set up for a morning pep rally in the commons. At 8:00am they will be released to set up for our Pep Assembly that begins at 8:30am. The assembly will last about 30 minutes. BBall band has a double header in the evening. I am asking for a 4pm call time so that I can treat them to some pre-game Ice Cream!
Wednesday Feb 15th: The Women’s game as been moved to Pattonville so there is NO BBALL BAND. Parent/teacher conferences will be that evening.
Thursday Feb 16th: On the calendar we have a concert on this day. I had originally planned to continue with this night but do to scheduling and the needs of our ensembles this date will be moved. I will post when I have a replacement date for this event. The event will be a Woodwind Choir, Brass Choir, and Percussion Ensemble concert on the stage. We will then split into two rooms. (WW and Perc) (Brass) We will have the solos and ensembles perform in these rooms to prepare for S&E contest. Depending on the date, It will either help prepare them for the District or the State level contest. If I can’t get a date that is before district, I will personally work with the kids to make sure they understand the process and get the nerves out.
Be sure to join us for the Winter Guard parent performance on this date. I hear there is a surprise in store for me.
Thank you again for your patience with the schedule. Please remember, I am working with a schedule not set by me. I have already begun a working calendar for next year and will have all of next years dates to you before school lets out in May.(Minus opportunities that are added throughout the year.)
More info coming soon.
We hope you can join us for this year’s Winterguard Parent Preview. It’s open to everyone, not just parents, and there’s no admission fee. Please see the attachment for details about our preview and the fundraiser that John and Mr. Stegeman have agreed to participate in -they’ll do anything for these kids!!!
We hope to see you there!

An electronic version of the Field Trip/Overnight Trip Form is now available on the Forms page. This was given out by Mr. Janes at the Band Booster meeting, and needs to be returned no later than Friday, 7/29. Kids can bring them to band camp and put them in the purple “Forms” box by the band office.
You do not need to fill in specific dates or locations on this form. You can simply put 8/2016- 6/2017 for the dates and “Any” for the location. That way the form will work for any trip that the kids take with band/guard.
UPDATE: Oops! It looks like we originally received and posted an old version of the form. I have updated the link to point to the correct version, which is dated August 2015 and contains 5 printed pages – three of which need to be signed and returned. Please download and fill out the new form, which is linked above.
The minutes from the April Band Boosters meeting are available here: April Minutes. Please review them and alert the secretary of any errors or other questions at email@example.com. The minutes will be presented for approval at the May meeting.
